What information we collect

Information you provide directly

Full name, email address, mobile phone number

  • Business name, ABN, ACN

  • Business industry and number of employees

  • Accountant or bookkeeper contact details (if applicable)

  • Plan selection (Guard, Shield, or Vault)

Information we collect from connected systems

  • Payroll information from your accounting software (Xero or MYOB) including upcoming payrun dates, total wages, and total superannuation amounts

  • Account balance information from your bank, accessed read-only via the Consumer Data Right (CDR) framework through our partner Basiq

Information we collect automatically

  • Website usage data including pages visited, time on site, and device type

  • Cookies and similar tracking technologies (see our Cookies Policy)

What we do NOT collect

  • Your internet banking login or password

  • Individual transaction details from your bank account

  • Employee personal information beyond aggregate payroll totals

  • Any data outside the scope of your CDR consent

How we use your information

We use your personal information to:

  • Provide the AusPayGuard compliance monitoring service

  • Send compliance alerts via SMS, WhatsApp, and email

  • Send weekly cash flow summaries and bookkeeper digests

  • Process payments and manage your subscription

  • Communicate with you about your account, including service updates and support

  • Improve our service and develop new features

  • Comply with our legal obligations under Australian law

    We do not sell your personal information to third parties. Ever.

How we store and protect your information

Your information is stored on secure servers operated by reputable cloud service providers, including:

  • Google Workspace (email and document storage)

  • n8n Cloud (automation infrastructure)

  • Stripe (payment processing)

  • Basiq (bank data infrastructure)

    All data transmission is encrypted using industry-standard TLS protocols. We use bank-grade encryption for sensitive data and apply strict access controls so that only authorised personnel can access your information.

    If you cancel your AusPayGuard subscription, we retain your data for 12 months for compliance audit purposes, after which it is permanently deleted. You may request earlier deletion in writing — see Section 7.
